SEIRIS supplies fabric, metal and rubber expansion joints to the power industry for use in coal, gas, biomass, hydro and waste-to-energy power plants.

Custom-made expansion joints

SEIRIS fabric, metal and rubber expansion joints are installed worldwide and across a number of industries, including the cement, steel, chemical and petrochemical sectors.

The dimensions, shapes and operating conditions of clients' most critical applications are customised to meet exact specifications and internationally recognised standards (ESA, FSA, EJMA, ASME, AD MERKBLATTER, ASTM, ABS).

SEIRIS also works in close collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), as well as engineering, procurement and construction companies.

Fabric Expansion Joints

SEIRIS fabric expansion joints are principally used in ducts at low-pressure and for gaseous fluids. The joints allow for four different movement types (axial, lateral, angular and torsion) and solve duct misalignment, vibration, and acoustic problems.

Offered in circular or rectangular design and with single- or multiple-layer construction, SEIRIS fabric expansion joints can be made from a range of technical textiles to withstand temperatures of up to 1200°C and pressures of up to 0.25 bar.

Our fabric expansion joints can be designed in either U-type or belt-type configuration, with or without steel frame.

Metal Expansion Joints

Metal Expansion Joints are primarily selected for their resistance to high pressures, and SEIRIS manufactures products that can withstand pressures of up to 120 bar.

Tailor made from carbon steels, austenitic stainless steels, nickel alloys, SEIRIS Metal Expansion Joints can be:

• Circular or rectangular
• Single ply or multiple plies
• Single convolution or multiple convolutions
• Welded or flanged-type configuration

Our metal expansion joints are designed, manufactured and tested to meet international standards.

Rubber Expansion Joints

Particularly useful for aggressive chemicals and for abrasion resistance, rubber expansion joints are manufactured from various elastomers with fabric and wire reinforcing, vulcanised and provide appropriate movement capabilities.

SEIRIS specialises in custom-designed rubber expansion joints. We offer:

• Single ply or multiple plies
• Single convolution or multiple convolutions
• Swivel or full face flanges type configuration
• Temperature: up to 200 °C
• Pressure: up to 25 bar
