At the end of July GE announced it was working with Stanwell and Xstrata Coal in Queensland to develop a 400 MW IGCC with 90% carbon dioxide capture at Wandoan, with commercial operation late 2015/2016.

A few weeks earlier Mitsubishi announced it had been contracted to carry out a feasibility study for another proposed IGCC+CCS project in Queensland, the 530 MW Zerogen project under development by the Queensland State Government.
