UK • BP has signed an agreement with Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines Ltd (LIT Ltd) to provide total maintenance support for the majority of its Alstom gas turbines in its UKCS fleet. The deal follows a previous seven year maintenance contract that LIT held with the BP Forties Asset. Under the new agreement LIT will be responsible for managing the maintenance of more than 80 per cent of BP's UKCS Alstom turbines. Scope of the work includes turbine maintenance planning and project management, engine overhauls, component repair, spare parts supply, inventory management, on-site troubleshooting and full on and offshore technical support. A dedicated onshore support team will manage maintenance, carried out by eight technicians.
