Harbin Power Engineering Co Ltd has awarded Clyde Bergermann Materials Handling Ltd a E1.5 million contract to supply two bottom ash systems to the 2x600 MW Shaanxi Hancheng No 2 power plant. The submerged scraper conveyors have a design capacity of 70 t/h. The boiler bottom ash is collected in a refractory-lined hopper before being discharged through ash gates, quenched, dewatered and crushed before being transferred to storage.
