F class combined cycle power plant for SaskPower

Siemens has received an order to deliver the main components for SaskPower’s planned Chinook power station – a 350 MWe natural-gas-fired combined cycle plant to be located near Swift Current, Saskatchewan in Canada. Siemens has received the order from engineering and construction company Burns & McDonnell, which is main contractor for the plant, scheduled for operation in the fourth quarter of 2019.

Siemens will supply one SGT6-5000F gas turbine, an SST-900 steam turbine, a SGen6-1000A generator, and one SGen6-100A generator.
