Cable company Nexans has won a ¤24 million contract for the supply and installation of several underground 132 kV LPOF high-voltage cable links in Kuwait City connecting the high-voltage substations Mina Abdulla, Sabhan, Fantas, Ardilya, Fadous, Riqqee, Yarmouk, Al Rai, Omeriah, Almahdi and Hadiya. The contract was awarded by the Ministry of Electricity and Water after an international tender. The installation work must be completed within 22 months, and will be carried out by the group's specialist high-voltage resources units based in Kuwait, Norway, France and Switzerland.
