Power to Barclaycall

19 November 1999

Two 1250 kVA fully automatic standby generating sets, supplied by Cummins, have been installed at the Barclaycall Centre at Doxford International Business Park in the UK.

Standby power is used to protect all computers, data banks, lighting and essential support systems. The system will ensure that the call centre will not be put out of action in the case of a mains failure.

The two CP1250 kVA sets are equipped with a Cummins Power Command Control (PCC) system. A DMC 300 (Digital Master Control) system provides automatic stating on a voltage dip or complete mains power loss, automatic synchronising and load sharing between the two sets with mains paralleling to ensure a no-break or seamless return to the mains when power is restored.
