The Austrian company VADO International has signed a contract with the Bashkirian energy company Bashkirenergo to supply equipment for a thermal power plant in the town of Sibai. VADO International's proposal involves installation of ten gas engines built by the Austrian company Enbacher. The plant will have an output of 30 MWe and a heat output of 25 GCal/h. Construction is expected to take 14 months with the majority of work being carried out by Austrian specialists. Network connection will be performed by affiliates and subsidiaries of Bashkirenergo. The new plant is expected to enter service in time for the 2003 heating season.
