Paxman, the MAN B & W Diesel subsidiary, has supplied three 18VP185 industrial drive generators to ICW Power Systems for standby power duties at a new telecommunications centre in Finsbury, north London, UK, that serves mainly as an internet provider. The site itself is a converted distillery. The three 18 cylinder engines are rated at 3.2 MW at 1500 rpm; the sale represents the first phase of a project that could eventually expand to a total of six Paxman gensets.
