Peter Brotherhood is to supply a power generator to a new waste-to-energy plant being built at Stallingborough, near Grimsby. The alternator set, driven by a condensing steam turbine, is worth E1.5 million. The waste-to-energy plant is being built by Earth Tech. It will be capable of processing 56 000 t of municipal waste each year and will generate 3.45 MW of electricity to be sold to an adjacent chemical company. The total cost of the project is around E13 million.
