Senvion has secured a contract for the delivery and installation of 30 wind turbines with a total rated power of 60 MW for the wind farm of Tursi Colobraro with PLT Energia. Tursi is the largest project under the third Italian feed-in tariff auction system to date.
Located in the Basilicata region in southern Italy, the 30 x MM100 turbines will be installed during the coming autumn. Each has a rated ouput of 2 MW and a hub height of 100 metres.
To date Senvion has installed over 350 turbines from its MM range in Italy, with a total rated output of more than 700 MW.
Pierluigi Tortora, CEO of PLT energia, commented: "The realisation of this project is a springboard for PLT ... I would like to express my thanks for the constructive co-operation with Senvion, a strong partner with whom we can continue our growth."
