Acciona makes big wind acquisition

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, although Acciona expects to install approximately 150 MW or more in 2008 from this pipeline. Some of EcoEnergy's near-term development assets are in Stephenson County, Illinois, and Northeastern Wisconsin.

Acciona will be supplying its own wind turbines for each of these development projects from its new US production facility in Iowa, due for completion in late 2007.
