American Electric Power (AEP) has acquired the 160 MW Indian Mesa wind power project from Enron Wind Corp. Under the terms of the deal AEP will also assume responsibility for fulfilment of power supply arrangements with City Public Service, the municipal utility in San Antonio, Texas. The wind farm is 72 km east of Fort Stockton, Texas and consists of 107 of Enron Wind's 1.5 MW turbines.
