23 July 2007

The Tereshkovo station is located in a southwest Moscow suburb and the Kozjuhovo station is in an east Moscow suburb. The two power stations will each receive three units, which will be used for heat and electrical power.

The turbines will operate in cogeneration cycle to supply 150 Gcal per hour for the district heating system. Each power station will also produce 150 MW of power to the local grid. The primary fuel is natural gas.

The Tereshkovo station is expected to begin commercial operation before winter 2007.
