Aggreko power into Olympics

Aggreko is deploying its 'advanced portable electrical distribution fleet' at the 2002 winter games. It's power generators for the event could support a city of 100 000. Airlifted by helicopters to mountainsides around Salt lake City, the equipment and staff will move off the mountains when the games are over, out of the Olympic village ,and on to other events.

To prepare for the games, Aggreko assembled the only completely Underwriter Laboratory (UL) listed portable all-weather electrical distribution fleet in the United States. Following the games, Aggreko will immediately break down and ship the units to Japan for the 2002 World Cup.
