Alstom GT26 heads for Germany

Engineering group Alstom has received an order for the permitting engineering of a turnkey contract for an 850 MW gas-fired combined cycle power plant at Lingen, Germany from RWE Power.

The plant is based around two GT26 gas turbines in a multishaft arrangement with heat recovery steam generators, steam turbine, gas cooled electrical generators and a natural draft cooling tower.

RWE Power also awarded an optional second phase covering the supply and erection of the plant as well as a 12-year service agreement
