Amec Foster Wheeler is to design and supply two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) for the Valle de Mexico II power plant. The order was placed by AVanzia & Initec Energia.
Under the contract, Amec Foster Wheeler will design, supply and provide erection and commissioning assistance for the two HRSGs to be installed on Siemens STG6-8000H gas turbines at the 615 MWe combined cycle power plant.
Commercial operation of the plant is scheduled for December 2017. The contract requires 65 per cent minimum national content for the HRSG supply.
