APPROVAL FOR TWO CHP PLANTS

The UK government has approved two combined heat and power schemes. Under the first, Cleveland Potash Ltd will built a 22.4 MWe gas-fired combined heat and power plant at its Boulby Mine works at Saltburn. The second approval will allow Basell Polyolefins UK Ltd to build a power station at Urmston, Manchester. The 65 MWe gas-fired chp plant will provide energy to the company's Carrington works.
