Babcock & Wilcox receives boiler contract

Fluor Enterprises has awarded a contract worth more than $40 million to Babcock & Wilcox. The contract will see the firm provide a 220 MW coal-fired boiler and associated environmental equipment for a new power plant to be built in Nevada.

The TS Power Plant is expected to go online before summer 2008.

B&W’s project scope includes the engineering, design and supply of a 220 MW pulverised coal-fired Radiant Boiler, including 18 burners with igniters; three pulverisers.
