BHEL wins Bihar project

India’s Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won an order to supply the main plant package for a 1000 MW coal fired power plant in Bihar state, India.

The INR20.3 billion order from Bhartiya Rail Bijlee Company (BRBCL), a joint venture between National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and Indian Railways, involves the design, supply and commissioning of four 250 MW units for the Nabinagar power plant. The units will be commissioned in the 11th Plan.

BHEL’s scope of work includes the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of steam generators, electrostatic precipitators, turbine generators, control and instrumentation and associated auxiliaries.
