Brazilian Copel to up investment in 2005

Electricity utility Companhia Paranaense de Energia SA (Copel) of Brazil, plans to invest Rl 512 million ($186 million) in 2005 including Rl 214 million on distribution system and Rl 210 million on transmission. The investment, from the dominant power firm in Brazil's Parana state, is up 16% from 2004.
