CEZ completes Bulgarian deal

20 January 2005

Czech utility CEZ is to buy a more than two thirds stake in each of three Bulgarian electricity distributors for a total of euro 281.5 million. The distribution group is one of three packages listed for sale by the government last year as part of its liberalisation programme under efforts to join the EU in 2007. Germany’s E.On and Austria’s EVN won the other two packages.
