CEZ to invest $650 million in refurbishment

1 April 2005

Czech utility CEZ plans to spend some CCr15 billion ($646.5 million) to refurbish its 800 MW coal-fired Tusimice II plant.

The investment is set to begin from 2007 and the station should be ready for restart around the end of 2010. Following the upgrade in Tusimice, which will expand its life by around 25 years, CEZ will most likely do the same with neighbouring power plant in Prunerov.
