Chinese wind to hit 5 GW

According to the plan, total installed wind capacity will reach 5 GW by 2010 and 30 GW by 2020, however, Li Junfeng, secretary general of the China Association of Resource Comprehensive Utilisation said that capacity will reach 4 GW by the end of the year.

China is expected to overtake Germany and the US to become the world’s largest wind power producer by 2020, the 2006 Annual Report on China's New Energy Industry forecast.
