This is an Endesa-owned power plant located in the province of Leon. Both units are 350 MW pulverised coal fired while the total installed power of all 5 units is 1,312 MW.
The selected Distributed Control System for the plant control and safety systems are ABB’s Symphony Harmony System and System 800xA high integrity control system. The Symphony Harmony system is used for the process control of water/steam Cycle, analog regulation, Mill Control, Balance of Plant, plant computer, turbine governor, turbine auxiliaries, flue gas desulphurisation and alarm management.
