Dalkia buys Polish power and heat unit

French-owned energy services venture Dalkia, has acquired ZEC Lodz, a power and heat supply company operating in Lodz, Poland's second-largest city.

The former state-owned group operates three co-generation power plants, and provides heating to about 70% of the city’s residents. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Dalkia is 66% owned by Veolia Environnement and 34% by Electricité de France
