Direct drive WTG order for Siemens

EDF Luminus, the second largest player in the Belgian energy market, has ordered nine direct drive wind turbines from Siemens for two projects located in the Belgian municipalities of Dessel, Mol and Beveren. The nine 3.2 MW machines from the D3 product platform will be installed at the wind projects “Sibelco” and “Katoen Natie – Loghidden City”. The customer, EDF Luminus, is majority owned by Électricité de France which has a 63.5% stake. The wind energy order includes a service and maintenance agreement for a period of 15 years.
