Doosan’s Dubai deal

18 April 2007

The contract for the Jebel Ali ‘M’ project comes from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority(DEWA) and is both the largest project ever commissioned by the DEWA and the largest power project to be developed by a Korean firm.

Doosan plans to complete the project, located on the coast of the Emirate of Dubai, by March 2010.

Seong Eun Hong, executive vice president of Doosan, said the contract will put the company “in an advantageous position” to win the 1,200 MW power plant project scheduled to be awarded at the end of this year.
