Endesa buys French interconnection capacity

7 March 2007

The final price based on capacity in the auction was Euro 31.23/MWh and Endesa acquired 275 MW of the total 1,034 MW available or 26.6%.

The development came as Endesa signed industrial supply contracts with Società Italiana per l'Oleodotto Transalpino, a major Mediterranean oil import terminal, and the Fincantieri company, which has 12 dockyards in Italy.

The company expects to sell around 13 TWh in Italy in 2006-2007.
