Enel Green Power (EGP) has consolidated its position in the Greek renewable energy market through the start-up of four new photovoltaic (PV) power plants.
The Italian renewable energy firm has announced that the four plants in the Peloponnese region have a combined capacity of 17.4 MW. The start-up of these plants follows that of two other PV plants in Greece that were developed by ESSE, EGP’s joint venture with Sharp.
EGP’s installed renewable energy capacity in Greece now stands at 245.4 MW, says the firm. This includes 199 MW of wind energy and 19 MW of small hydro.
The four new PV plants are the 4.9 MW Agrilia Baka site in Messina, the 4.9 MW Kavasila plant in Achaea region, a 2.8 MW plant in Corinth and the 4.8 MW Limnochori plant.
