EU carbon prices slump

Prices for European Union carbon dioxide allowances have fallen as wet, mild weather across the region - signalling lower power demand - has triggered heavy selling in record volumes. Allowances traded under the EU emissions trading scheme for 2005 have lost about 15% to Euro 6.35/tonne.
