FINANCING FOR SPALDING PLANT

InterGen has announced completion of financing for its Spalding energy facility near Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK. The 860 MW natural gas-fired combined cycle plant will cost around $610 million to build. The company has arranged $615 million in financing. Bechtel Power is building the power station under a turnkey contract. It will be powered by two GE gas turbines and is due to enter service before the end of 2004.
