Firm has £1 billion for distribution

UK distribution company Central Networks has announced plans for a £1.2 billion ($2.2 billion) investment programme on the regional electricity network over the next five years.

Central Networks serves 4.8 million customers across the Midlands and was formed in April last year when its owner E.ON UK merged its East Midlands Electricity unit with Midlands Electricity.
