Gamesa secures Brazil wind turbine contract

Spanish wind company Gamesa has secured a contract to supply Brazilian consortium Consórcio Morrinhos with 150 MW of wind capacity.
The scope of the agreement includes the supply, installation and commissioning of 75 Gamesa G97 2MW wind turbines in five 30MW wind farms, which Consórcio Morrinhos is planning to build in the town of Campo Formoso in Bahia state," Gamesa said.
The firm expects to begin installation in 2H 2014 and finish a year later. Under the agreement, Gamesa will also handle operations and maintenance at all five wind farms for a period of 15 years. the firm added.
Consórcio Morrinhos is consortium of Atlantic Energias Renováveis and Casa dos Ventos, one of Brazil's biggest wind energy developers.
