GE to supply Mexican turbines

Four Frame 7FA gas turbines, two steam turbines, four HRSGs, additional equipment and services for a new, 1,135 MW combined-cycle power plant in the municipality of Tamazunchale in San Luis Potosi State, Mexico, are to be supplied by GE. The natural gas-fired plant is scheduled to begin commercial operations in June 2007. Iberdrola Energía Tamazunchale, an affiliate of Iberdrola Mexico, is the plant owner and operator, while Iberinco Mexico of Mexico City will be the EPC contractor.

GE and Iberdola Energía also have signed a 25 year service agreement. The equipment will be delivered to the project site from October 2005 to January 2006.
