German windfarm closes finance

WPD, the German developer and financier, has announced financial closure for its euro 160 million Havelland windfarm, a project consisting of six separate windfarms with 64 Enercon 2 MW turbines. Construction of the first turbines has already begun with completion expected in 2006. The project is being developed by a consortium of WPD and Wiemken.
