Hanwha Energy Corporation has placed an order with Amec Foster Wheeler for the design and supply of a 100 MW circulating fluidized bed (CFB) steam generator for a new power plant in South Korea.
Amec Foster Wheeler will design and supply the 100 MWe boiler for the power plant's boiler island and provide onsite technical advisory services. Commercial operation of the plant, located in Gunsan City, is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019.
Gary Nedelka, Group President of Amec Foster Wheeler's Global Power Group said: "This will be the seventh CFB steam generator that we have supplied to Hanwha Energy Corporation."
