HRSG and steam turbine for Halton Hills in Canada

Alstom has signed a contract with TransCanada Corp and Halton Hills Power Partners to supply two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) and one 300 MW steam turbine generator for the Halton Hills sation, located near Toronto, Canada.

The new power plant will feature Alstom's triple-pressure reheat HRSGs and when it enters commercial operation in 2010, the combined cycle plant will generate around 600 MW.

Halton Hills Power Partners is a joint venture of Burns & McDonnell Canada and Aker Kvaerner Songer, who were awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract for the new plant.
