The plant will supply the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) under a deal worth approximately $450 million including an SGT6-5000F gas turbine and an SST-900 RH steam turbine.

The facility will be located in an existing industrial park in the town of Brookhaven, New York. It will be the first major power generating facility to be built on Long Island in over 30 years.
