MHPS receives turbine order for CHP plant

13 May 2015

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems has received a turnkey order through its subsidiary in India for a combined heat and power plant, featuring the company's H-25 gas turbine serving as the core equipment. The order has been placed by the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative India's largest fertiliser producer, and it marks the first turnkey order emanating from the Indian market since MHPS started its operation as a new business entity in 2014. The new CHP unit is scheduled to go on-stream in July 2016.
It is to be built within IFFCO's existing Phulpur plant in Uttar Pradesh, northern India. Plans call for an output of 22 MW and steam volume of 60 ton/hour.
The CHP plant will consist mainly of MHPS's H-25 gas turbine, a generator and a heat recovery steam generator. MHPS will supply the H-25 gas turbine via MHPS India, which will be responsible for supplying the HRSG and other equipment. MHPS has also proposed a long-term maintenance contract under which it will support the long-range, stable operation of the customer's plant through parts supply, dispatch of technical advisors, etc.
