DEAT found that the project was, with some conditions, acceptable from an environmental impact point of view. The RoD concludes the detailed feasibility phase of the project, which included a three-year environmental impact assessment (EIA) process.
There is now a 30-day period during which any parties may lodge appeals with the South African minister of environmental affairs and tourism.
