Nordex has won the largest single contract in its history, a 595 MW order from Enel Green Power.
The German wind turbine manufacturer has announced that it will provide the hardware for the Lagoda dos Ventos wind farm, which Enel Green Power is developing in the state of Piaui, northern Brazil.
Nordex will provide 191 of its AW125 wind turbines for the project. The turbines are 3 MW-class units and will be mounted on top of 120 m concrete towers.
Nordex will start work on installing the wind farm in October 2019, and will service the turbines for two years.
