NORTH HOYLE GAINS CONSENTS

All statutory consents have been granted to allow construction of the North Hoyle offshore wind farm, one of the largest such generators to be built in UK waters. It will be located off the Welsh coast near Prestatyn and will consist of 30 turbines with a maximum total capacityof 60 MW. It is due for completion in 2003 and will be supported from a £10 million fund set aside for wind projects.
