Offshore wind project framework rules released

The US Department of Energy, GE, and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative have issued a framework which identifies the technical, environmental, economic and regulatory needs to develop offshore wind.

The framework, developed over the past year ,is designed to help the country develop its estimated 900,000 MW of offshore wind potential within 50 miles of the country's coasts.
