Philippine transmission sale void

7 February 2007

The decision came after only one of the three pre-qualified bidders, a consortium of Citadel and Terna, submitted an offer for the national transmission network.

The blow came despite assurances from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) of transparency and stability in the regulatory framework that would guide the business operation of TransCo.
