Pole control

5 September 2002

Remadaq Callisto's pole top remote terminal units, which allow the automatic reconfiguring of networks to isolate a faulty section and bring in power from alternative sources, have been installed in Campinas city, Brazil, by CPFL, one of Brazil's larger utilities. The units will be working with Yaskawa loadbreak switches on medium voltage lines. They use configurable logic, power quality data, fault analysis methods and relaying functions all alongside the standard SCADA features.
