RWE, Vattenfall, Eon, and EnBW were informed that the BNA has imposed significant cuts in requested network charges, falling mainly in the areas of fixed assets, expected interest on equity, and imputed trade tax.
Eon will see its system use charges cut by 16%, while RWE and EnBW will face cuts of around 10% and 8% respectively through until 2008. Vattenfall must cut transmission tariffs by nearly 18% until the end of the year.
All transmission system operators' charges have now been approved although the agency is still considering its decision on fees charged by the distribution companies it regulates.
