Romania plans €137 million upgrade

Thermal generation company CET Paroseni will receive a total of €137 mln euro in upgrading investment from the government by the end of June 2006. The financing, being provided by the JBIC and BNP Paribas, will bring the plant into conformity with EU environmental standards. During the upgrade the plant will be equipped with a 150 MW steam turbine from Ukrainian Turboatom and a Toshiba 176 MWA generator.
