RTE takes its first steps into China

The French grid operations company RTE has signed a co-operation agreement with China's State Grid Corp to advise on grid operations in an open power market.

The move is thought to be a precursor to the creation of an open electricity market in China. RTE is also to advise on the eventual creation of an electricity bourse.
