RWE npower presses ahead with Pembroke plans

2 August 2007

Although an ES examining the likely environmental impact of a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) station was submitted with the original planning application in 2005, the company has since carried out further detailed consultation and environmental surveys.

Tim Calver, Pembroke Power Station project manager, explained: "Although we recently announced that we are pressing ahead with plans to construct a new power station at Staythorpe, Pembroke remains an important site for us and the submission of the updated ES represents a significant commitment to advancing the planning application."
